So Saturday was the preview of the new grasslands exhibit at the NC Zoo. It was freakin' fantastic and the lions where the BEST!!!

Salmon fishing is all wet!
This big boy had just come up from plunging in after a salmon. I was really this close to him (in a enclosed, protected hut). At the top of the river bank, we were enclosed by a "fence" hat was maybe waist high. The bears were with in reach. But of course you didn't reach or you would draw back a nub...
It was an awesome trip that I want to do again!
